OK, so for January, I am to complete ONE MORE SWOON BLOCK. Not a huge commitment... I'll build up to that, but as this project has disappeared into a box, somewhere, in the sewing shed (damn having such a good organisation system - you put it away and forget about it completely) - I need a bit of motivation to find it, pull it out, and get back into the swing of things.
Where I share my projects; the progression from start to finish (often with more in the starting department, and less in the finishing)

January Goal
I'm not quite ready for New Year's resolutions yet, but I have decided to jump on the bandwagon of the "A Year of Lovely Finishes" (January linky here) linky party - where you choose one item, or part there of, and aim to complete that item in the month concerned.

Ah, the secret is to NOT put it away! You are bound to forget about it! After all, it is too pretty to not finish!
ReplyDeleteI stoppped putting my projects on boxes because they kept disappearing! I've got them all hung in the wardrobe in my sewing room now. I draped the larger projects on a coathanger, the type that you can hang trousers on, and I've used the clip-type hangers for smaller projects. Now I can look in the cupbaord and see all the things I can work on - and then go and start something new!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, more interesting than a resolution of getting fit or loosing weight, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteI hope you get some motivation back, this will be a great project for us to follow and see finished! Liking the link up, I think might link up later tonight :) BTW the walking foot is working a treat.
ReplyDeleteLoving the fabric you've chosen for your swoon! No need to pick a big finish - small, achievable chunks are definitely the way to go :()
ReplyDeleteOh what a great project you've taken on! I love achievable goals! I can't wait to see your finish!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up
Good on you - I wondered how your swoon was going!! Yes, things are good when tidied away but then you forget you have them!!
ReplyDeleteOne more block is a block closer!
