In which things are progressing swimmingly...

This Constellation quilt is going together so quickly.  This is all that is left to put together of the blocks... that means I'm already 2/3rd of the way through.  This must be a new land speed record.

The leader and ender project has been my Modern Sampler Blocks... these are progressing nicely too.  All caught up with last week, and only one more to go to finish off this weeks requirements.

I've even [finally] started one of the two blocks I'm doing as a charity quilt (bee style) as part of my Friday morning stitching group.

And the Playground blocks have turned into six long columns... just need to fortify myself before embarking on stitching the columns together.

Handwork has seen some progress... Block 5 finished.  This is only 3 months late.

And a bit of holiday reading... all 656 pages - What She Wants by Cathy Kelly.  A good bit of Irish drama.

Focus projects for the coming week?
Hand stitching corner - I'd like to start hand quilting the Modern Applique Quilt.  What I hear you say... hand quilting... again???  It is possible I have caught the bug, either that, or I haven't decided that I hate it yet.  Only time will tell :0)

Piecing: well, I don't think I'm going to be able to let go of the Constellation Quilt or the Playground one, so I'll just keep plugging along.  You never know, I may finish up with two new tops by the end of the week.  I've also pulled some fabrics for a backing for the Large Star Quilt, so if I was really good, I could get this whizzed up too.

Machine Quilting has been put on the back burner over the holidays - I'll see if I can get a few more areas quilted on Lola's Medallion, but no promises!

You have really been making progress on a lot of projects lately...good job! I've mostly been buying fabric because there have been so many great sales at local quilt shops. I need to stop doing that and get some sewing done!

You seem to have made some giant steps this week! Love the Bear Paw charity blocks, and the embroidery is very sweet! I think you should get the pins out and get those Playground blocks together!
