New Resolutions and Projects

I had a a terrific post all written, clever, witty and interesting (or at least I thought so), and Blogger ate it!  So frustrating.  If only I had a photographic memory.

First up, my resolution for this year is to use the things I have.  Fabric.  Books.  Patterns.  Doesn't mean I can't buy more - cause what's the fun in that - but I have lots, I need to use it.

With this in mind I have started three new projects :0).

First up is the Craftsy BOM Times Two Quilt.  I enrolled in two different BOM classes last year and although I've watched episodes from both, haven't actually done anything yet.  So a bundle of Gypsy Bandana that I've had for ever, has now been cut up - well the first two blocks anyway - and is starting to look terrific.

Changed my mind after taking the photo and added the same text fabric I'm using for the Avalon Quilt instead of the print shown here.

I also have a panel from the same line.

January Block One: Asterix Block

January Block Two: Wonky Pound Sign Block

I am imagining something along the lines of the sampler quilt Juliet from Tartankiwi is working on (click here for more details).

I'll have to fill you in on the other two projects another day.
